BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
iMVELO Pharmaceuticals (Pty) Ltd is a wholly black owned empowerment company created by a qualified, skilled and experienced female professional, for two distinct purposes:
- Firstly, to be a thriving and financially successful enterprise.
- Secondly, to create employment opportunities and develop skills amongst our historically disadvantaged fellow citizens.

Our motto is, “To encourage and cultivate innovative and imaginative programs for the solution of healthcare skills transfer in all our communities”
For iMVELO Pharmaceuticals, the basis of good skills and development program is found in the balancing of financial success with social responsibility. Three critical factors contribute to this balance:
Awareness
This requires the identification of Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) individuals who have a healthcare and has, over the past years, led awareness programs from all walks of life, most of whom have been trained at the group’s expense. We recognise that to accommodate the enormous need for education, we must continually expand, so as to afford others the chance to do so.
Upliftment
We have a major role to play in the promotion of a culture of “upliftment”. By encouraging and supporting self-improvement we have seen emerging students attain more than a certificate in Healthcare. Our wish is to witness a mindset transformation and increase confidence that bodes well for future generations.
Change
Positive Change is brought about by education and upliftment. Together these elements form the building blocks for reconstruction and development. The above constitutes, for iMVELO Pharmaceuticals, our policy plan – educate, uplift and change. Our success is inextricably linked to the success of the national policy reflected in the gazetted “Skills Transfer and Training Bill” emanating from the Ministry of Labour.
Every successful project and contract means one thread in the vast tapestry being woven by and for every South African!
MENTORSHIP
It is important to develop skills amongst our staff for the purposes of enhanced profit,
it is equally important for us to cultivate the possible entrepreneurs of the future.
To this end we anticipate that our mentoring programs will help to imbue our staff and other HDSA participants with the acumen required to function effectively in the business world. Senior, seasoned personnel, inclusive of the management/directors implement a pattern of succession planning not only at the level of key management, but also at the level of the least experienced entry-level healthcare practitioners. In this manner the company literally ensures its own continuity into the future whilst engaging in the creating wellness and healthcare of the future.
